The Office for the Enforcement of Sentences (AJV) Graubünden is a department of the Department of Justice, Security and Health of the Canton of Graubünden. The AJV is responsible for the enforcement of sentences and measures as well as the implementation of various types of detention. In Graubünden, the enforcement of sentences and measures is regulated as a unified field and holistic task, in which various professional groups work interdisciplinarily with offenders to prevent further delinquency.
To strengthen our legal service, we are looking for a legal professional by arrangement.
Your area of responsibility
- Legal support for correctional institutions and specialist departments in fulfilling their tasks
- Independent investigations and assessment of legal issues as well as advising specialist departments
- Drafting and reviewing orders
- Reviewing and supporting the creation and revision of internal instructions, disciplinary regulations, house rules and contracts
- Conducting appeal procedures
- Participation in projects (e.g. revisions of laws and ordinances, consultations and drafting of departmental orders and government decisions)
What we expect from you
- Completed studies in law (licentiate or MLaw)
- Preferably professional experience in the judiciary or public administration
- Independent, structured and precise working style as well as enjoyment in handling diverse legal issues
- Very good written and oral communication skills in German, additional knowledge of cantonal and foreign languages is an advantage
- Enjoyment of teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration
