Training Metalworker EFZ
With the 4-year training to become a metalworker, you and your team are responsible for the construction of various metal structures. You manufacture metal, steel, window, and facade components. Do you want a constructive future? From the production of individual parts in the workshop, through assembling them into a whole, to the installation on the construction site: you always keep an overview, work independently and also in a team.

Activities
As a metalworker, you enjoy a lot of variety and create something new every day:
- You study construction plans.
- You prepare materials and cut them into shape.
- You punch, drill, and mill the metal parts according to plan.
- You cut sheets and bend them, by hand or with computer-controlled machines.
- Welding, grinding including measuring, aligning, and assembling are part of your daily tasks.
- You prepare the installation, install fittings/accessories, and equip your metal parts with glass.
- On site, you are responsible for safe transport and final inspection with the architect.
