The Diakonissen-Motherhouse St. Chrischona combines tradition with the future. Here up in our nature-close RESIDENTIAL PARK St. Chrischona on the Chrischona hill, not only do 18 deaconesses live, but we also run a nursing home for a total of 37 residents and a guest and restaurant operation.

In addition to the hotel and care operation, we maintain our own sewing studio, where the traditional costume of the deaconesses is primarily made.

Since the current tailor is now retiring, we are looking for a

Ladies' Tailor 50% or on a Fee Basis

Due to the special requirements in connection with fittings and the preservation of the deaconesses' privacy, we are looking for a female specialist.

Here’s what it offers:

Here’s what it’s about:

• You independently run the sewing studio and are responsible for work planning.
• Create customised new garments of the sisters’ costumes, as well as their maintenance, repairs, alterations and adjustments in case of physical changes or limitations.
• You carry out repairs and new production of underwear.
• You take care of the maintenance of professional and operational laundry.
• Upon cost estimate, you perform commissioned work for nursing home residents.
• You cooperate with colleagues in care and laundry.
• You are responsible for the maintenance and care of the professional machinery.
• You are responsible for the annual inventory and the stock management concept for fabrics and accessories.

Here’s what you need:

• Completed 3-year training as a federally certified ladies' tailor / clothing designer EFZ or a comparable qualification.
• German language skills at least at level B2.
• Ability to communicate and enjoyment in dealing with elderly people.
• Trustworthiness and tact.
• Customer orientation.
• Creativity.
• Positive attitude towards the Christian faith.
