About the job
As the largest certified small hospital for specialised palliative care in the canton of Bern and a cooperation partner of Inselspital, Biel Hospital Centre, Hirslanden Bern and the UPD, the Diaconis Palliative Care team cares for terminally ill patients requiring hospital treatment.
We are looking for from 1 December 2026 or by arrangement
a Head of Specialised Palliative Care 80% – 100%.
Your tasks with us
- Responsibility for the personnel and professional management of nursing
- Responsibility for quality and nursing development
- Co-responsibility for certification (Qualité Palliative)
- Participation in change processes
- Membership in the hospital management team
- Work in patient nursing
You bring the following
- Leadership personality with corresponding track record
- Experience in acute care
- Basic nursing training (HF/FH)
- Advanced training in palliative care (Level B2; MAS) completed or willingness to complete it
- At least two years of experience in the treatment of palliative patients
- Business understanding, organisational skills and structured working style
- Strong social skills, dialogue and motivation ability as well as ability to work interdisciplinarily and process-oriented
