Job Description
Reporting to the Supervisor or Assistant Manager of their department, the essential responsibilities and duties of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Consistently providing professional, friendly, and engaging service
- Being responsible for the proper execution of setups and preparation of their area
- Carefully performing the service tasks assigned
- Actively participating in all restaurant setups
- Serving guests according to their expectations and anticipating their needs and preferences
- Regularly replenishing consoles with clean cutlery, clean glasses, and various condiments as part of the setup
- Organising the order of kitchen order tickets, following up on allergens with managers, changing cutlery, and clearing tables
- Knowing the menu and wine pairings, including associated grape varieties
- Actively participating in cleaning tasks within their department
- Being flexible and cooperative in all circumstances, especially if required to work temporarily in another department
- Learning LQA technical and emotional standards and applying them
- Striving to perfect technical and theoretical knowledge to ensure flawless service for demanding clientele
- Participating in a performance review with their superior once during the internship
- Maintaining excellent contact with colleagues
- Committing to the quality of their service, discretion, and absolute honesty
- Maintaining a professional attitude, smiling, and remaining calm at all times
- Respecting ergonomic work standards, health & safety rules, hygiene, and sanitary regulations
- Being cooperative in efforts to limit losses, whether related to sustainable development and/or good stock management of the department
- Respecting the policies, procedures, and service standards of the department and company
- Performing any other assigned tasks
Qualifications
- Internship as part of hotel training
- Fluency in French
- Excellent knowledge of English
- Knowledge of a third language is an asset
- Previous service experience
- Knowledge of Silverware software is an asset
- Ability to work in a team
- Flexibility and initiative
- Ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously and handle last-minute changes
Physical requirements of the position (include but are not limited to):
- Constant: standing and walking throughout the work period
- Frequent: lifting and carrying loads
- Occasional: kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting
- Occasional: climbing up or down stairs and ramps

VISA REQUIREMENTS
To work in Switzerland, the candidate must hold a Swiss work permit or be from an EU-17 or EU-8 European country.
