The City and Regional Library Thun offers a diverse range of media and services for all age groups: around 50,000 media items and a large digital library as well as various courses and events in the field of reading promotion.
We are looking for a flexible and resilient personality as of June 1, 2026, for the position of
Your tasks:
- Lending according to the deployment plan, including daily closing
- Customer support and advice
- Cataloging of all types of media according to RDA
- Collaboration in events and projects
You bring with you:
- Completed training as an Information and Documentation Specialist EFZ with professional experience in public libraries or completed training as a bookseller
- Broad general education and high media competence as well as experience in handling various e-media
- Very good oral and written German skills, additional language skills are an advantage
- Willingness to work regularly on Saturdays and evenings
- Team-oriented personality with precise, independent, and solution-oriented working style
- Service- and customer-oriented approach as well as quick comprehension
- Professional, friendly, and well-groomed appearance
