We help our customers in Western Switzerland realize their projects by providing comprehensive, efficient, and sustainable solutions, whether in the generation and distribution of electricity and heat, electrical installations, building technology, gentle mobility, air conditioning, or water treatment. The Electrical Energy Directorate operates the infrastructure of hydraulic and thermal power plants, develops plants for electricity generation from renewable energies, and ensures electricity supply under the best possible conditions.

Tasks:

• Leading the trading and IT development teams to ensure a 24/7 market presence on the electricity markets (Intraday to Month Ahead, CH/FR/DE).
• Defining trading strategies to maximize P&L and optimize our consumption and production portfolios (hydropower, solar, thermal energy).
• Managing the transition to automated trading and developing decision support tools for short-term markets.
• Leading automation and predictive modeling projects (machine learning) to optimize portfolio management through tailored IT tools.
• Coordinating information flows between long-term trading, market analysis, dispatching, product management, risk management, and external partners.
• Ensuring compliance with financial risk limits and the resilience of the IT infrastructure.

Profile:

• University degree (FH/ETH/Uni) in a relevant field.
• Proven experience in energy markets as well as in optimizing production portfolios (hydropower, PV, thermal energy) and consumption management, including flexibility assessment (SDL, Intraday, etc.).
• Experience in leading development and modeling projects, supported by automation expertise.
• Leadership skills for cross-functional teams and projects as well as a culture of continuous improvement.
• Decisiveness in real-time and high stress resistance.
• Strategic thinking, leadership, strong analytical skills, and negotiation skills.
• Very good knowledge of one national language (FR/DE) as well as excellent communication skills in the other national language and English.
• Home office possible (up to 1 day/week).
