Modern Optics with Room for Responsibility and Co-Creation in Horgen

The Visualpraxis in Horgen is an independent, modern optician's shop with optometric expertise. We combine individual vision consultation, precise vision analyses, selected spectacle frames, modern lenses, and personal care.

For our small, dedicated team, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for an Optician EFZ 50–80 % who enjoys working independently, taking responsibility, and actively shaping our business.

With us, you are not part of an anonymous branch structure. You work in a personal specialist shop with short decision-making paths, direct customer contact, and the opportunity to contribute your own ideas. We value professional quality, honest advice, and a good working atmosphere.

Your tasks

• Independent consultation and support of our customers

• Individual style and type consultation when selecting spectacles
• Independent execution of adjustments, workshop work, repairs, and quality controls
• Inventory management, orders, and administrative tasks
• Independent organisation and coordination of daily business
• Preparation and follow-up of customer appointments
• Active contribution to a personal and high-quality customer experience

As an optician and optometry business, we also offer specialised services such as contact lens fittings including specialised lenses, treatment of dry eyes, vision training, and myopia control. You will gain insights into these specialist areas and support us with organisational and customer-related tasks. The optometric professional responsibility lies with our optometrist.

Your profile

• Completed training as an Optician EFZ
• Solid knowledge in spectacle consultation as well as handling frames and lenses
• Fashion flair, sense of style, fashion, and colours
• Confident work in the workshop, manual skills
• Independent, reliable, and careful working style
• Sense of responsibility and enjoyment in contributing ideas
• Interest in modern optics and high-quality vision solutions

We are looking for a person who fits in with us personally, enjoys taking responsibility, works independently, and accompanies customers honestly, friendly, and competently.

What to expect with us

• A modern, attractively designed workplace in the heart of Horgen
• An independent specialist shop where quality and customer satisfaction are more important than pure sales figures
• Lots of personal responsibility and the opportunity to organise your working day independently
• Short decision-making paths and openness to your ideas and suggestions
• Varied tasks from spectacle consultation to workshop and decoration to support in the optometric practice routine
• A professionally interesting environment with insights into specialised optometric services
• Room for personal and professional development
• A appreciative working environment where your commitment and experience count
• Good accessibility by public transport

Why Visualpraxis?

Because we are convinced that good optics means more than just selling spectacles.

We take time for our customers, listen, and look for the best solution together. In doing so, we combine traditional optician craftsmanship with modern optometry and individual consultation.

As a small, independent specialist shop, we offer you the opportunity to contribute your experience, take responsibility, and actively shape the development of Visualpraxis.

If you enjoy working independently, advising people competently, and being part of a dedicated team, we would love to get to know you.
