About the job

• Conduct and further develop courses on the design of road traffic facilities with a focus on traffic engineering dimensioning, design, and traffic safety
• Acquire, plan, and lead application-oriented research projects
• Provide professional support to students and research groups
• Promote knowledge transfer between the university, industry, and public institutions
• Maintain and expand the network in the Swiss road and transport sector

From the autumn semester 2028, the workplace will be in Biel

• University degree in civil engineering or a related field, ideally with research experience
• Several years of practical experience in road construction
• Experience in acquiring and managing research projects
• Enjoyment of teaching as well as collaboration with students and practical partners
• Very good German skills as well as good French or English skills

The title of Professor may be used if the requirements according to the BFH personnel regulations are met.
