About the job
As a teaching associate, you will enthusiastically engage in teaching the Bachelor programme «Computational and Data Science» for the module «IT Development and Operations (DevOps)». The module is newly offered as blended learning, entirely online. You will produce the lectures as videos, which students can consume flexibly in terms of time, and provide exercises online. If necessary, you will arrange online office hours or live sessions with the students; attendance on site in Chur is not required. You are responsible for the content and didactic structure of the module – from operating IT infrastructures, databases and Linux server services through continuous integration and delivery, microservices and infrastructure as code to monitoring and automation of processes. You will independently develop the module in coordination with the programme management and teach it in the autumn semester 2026.

Your profile
- University degree in computer science or a related field
- Several years of practical or academic experience in DevOps, IT operations and the operation of complex IT infrastructures
- Solid knowledge in CI/CD, containerisation, microservices, infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform) and monitoring
- Experience in operating Linux server services, databases and applications
- Experience in computer science teaching as well as in producing teaching videos and designing online exercises
- Communicative personality, enjoyment in teaching and imparting knowledge and skills
