Scientific Assistant (40%)

University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW, Institute Art Gender Nature (IAGN)

Your tasks:

You support the Institute for Art Gender Nature at HGK Basel in a versatile range of tasks, including administrative activities, coordination of programs and events, as well as student support.

Administration

Administrative work in the institute and support of organizational processes
Coordination of infrastructure for guest lecturers
Supervision of the studios throughout the year

Events & Exhibitions

Coordination of opening events including planning, personnel, catering, and logistics
Organization of the BA annual exhibitions (1st and 2nd year) including setup and dismantling as well as preparation and follow-up
Support for semester openings and studio allocations in BA and MA studies

Communication & Documentation

Conducting tours during Open House and information events
Graphic and digital preparation of institute documentation

Your profile:

Completed studies in art, design, graphic design, or cultural studies
Experience in organizing events in the art context as well as art historical knowledge
Strong sense of image composition and knowledge in digital image and video editing
Strong organizational skills and confident priority management
High degree of personal responsibility and flexibility
Resilience in a dynamic and demanding environment
