Shape the water infrastructure of tomorrow

Sewage treatment plants and urban drainage facilities are among the most demanding infrastructure projects: they combine civil and structural engineering, structural design, process engineering, mechanical engineering and building services – often during ongoing operation and under high demands on quality, deadlines and costs.

At AFRY, you take a central role in such projects. You develop structural concepts, coordinate interdisciplinary planning teams and accompany our clients from the initial idea to successful realisation.

You do not work alone: in our Water & Environment team, you will meet experienced professionals who share their knowledge, take responsibility and support each other.

YOUR TASKS:

• Plan and realise demanding civil and structural engineering works and develop innovative and economical solutions for operators of wastewater treatment plants and urban drainage facilities
• Take on overall or partial project management and control quality, costs, deadlines and risks
• Coordinate interdisciplinary project teams and manage interfaces with structural design, process engineering, architecture, mechanical engineering, building services and EMSR
• Advise and support our clients and represent the projects vis-à-vis clients, authorities, planning participants and executing companies across all SIA planning phases

YOUR PROFILE:

• Completed studies in civil engineering, architecture or a comparable discipline
• Several years of professional experience (at least 5 years) in the planning and realisation of infrastructure, industrial or building projects
• Experience ideally in the water and wastewater sector, in structural engineering, structural design or specialist site management
• Interest in interdisciplinary issues and enjoyment of collaboration with different specialist areas
• Experience in collaborative project execution with BIM and digital planning methods
• Independent, structured working style as well as strong communication and teamwork skills
• Very good oral and written German skills and good English skills. French skills are an advantage but not a requirement
