Apprenticeship as Specialist in Facility Management EFZ (m/f/d)
The Operations and Experimental Garden Department in Birmensdorf is responsible for the smooth functionality of the infrastructure. It includes the areas of building services, experimental garden, technical services, the Birmensdorf operation, and the staff restaurant. The employees are responsible for the maintenance and care of the infrastructure, accompany construction and renovation projects, support researchers in the construction and maintenance of technical systems, operate the in-house workshop, and ensure that employees are well catered for. This versatile department is offering a varied and diverse apprenticeship starting summer 2026 with a focus on building services.
In addition to the basics of occupational safety and operational organization, you will learn during your training the correct execution of various cleaning and repair tasks and participate in exciting maintenance work such as the inspection and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and electrical installations. The daily work also includes monitoring building technology, maintaining furniture and machines, as well as waste management, including proper separation and disposal. Part of your training takes place outdoors, for example in the care of green spaces and paths, as well as snow removal services in winter.
