- Responsible for the operation of the center's electron microscopes and the sample preparation facilities
- Carry out preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnostics, and basic repairs of microscopy equipment
- Coordinate more complex repairs and servicing with instrument manufacturers and external service providers
- Introduction and training of users to the tools & methods
- Participation in scientific projects
- Provide electron-microscopy services to internal and external customers
