Position Objective & Tasks

Position Objective

The Logistician Event & Catering L2 ensures smooth material and event logistics during the preparation, execution and follow-up of events.

The focus of the role is on provision according to the packing list, transport and provision of materials as well as the setup and dismantling of events. At the same time, the role supports goods and delivery logistics and can take over all tasks in the logistics area if required.

Main Tasks

• Assembling the materials needed for events according to the packing list
• Checking materials, quantities and completeness
• Provision of crockery, glasses, cutlery, table linen and other event materials
• Provision of beverage, bar, coffee and event equipment
• Transporting materials to the respective event location
• Returning and storing materials after the event
• Setting up and dismantling event infrastructure
• Setting up and putting away tables and standing tables
• Setting up and dismantling buffet, bar and coffee stations
• Provision and dismantling of music systems and technical equipment
• Provision of furniture and other event equipment
• Proper return of all materials after the event
• Checking materials for completeness and damage
• Supporting event management with all logistical tasks

Tasks:

Ensuring availability of materials and equipment during the event

• Support with last-minute changes and adjustments
• Coordination of minor logistical concerns on site
• Support for service and kitchen with logistical tasks
• Support with goods deliveries and collections
• Receiving and transporting goods and materials
• Support with internal goods logistics
• Taking over L1 tasks if required

Requirements:

• Professional experience in logistics, event, catering, gastronomy or a comparable environment
• Practical and technical understanding
• Good organisational skills
• Independent and reliable working style
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Physical resilience
• Ability to cope with high workloads
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and irregular shifts
• Driving licence category B is an advantage
• Good knowledge of German
