About the job

The Hofwiesen Residential Home offers a home to 69 elderly people in their fourth stage of life. In addition to two care departments with 57 beds, "Hofwiesen" also has a closed residential group for people with dementia with 12 places. Around 76 employees lovingly and professionally accompany the residents through everyday life and ensure a high quality of life. The building was extensively renovated and modernised in 2022 and 2023. The Hofwiesen Residential Home is operated by the political municipality of Dietlikon.

Your main tasks

• Overall management: Operational, personnel, financial and strategic leadership of the residential home
• Quality management: Ensuring and further developing the quality of care and services in compliance with legal requirements and in cooperation with the management team
• Representation: Representing the home externally, active participation in committees as well as cooperation with authorities, other institutions and other stakeholders
• Economic efficiency: Responsibility for a sound financial basis (tariff design, budget compliance, efficient use of personnel)
• Corporate culture: Promoting a motivating, team-oriented collaboration in the spirit of the guiding principle "personal – human – close"

Your profile

• Several years of leadership experience in a comparable institution in the long-term care sector (e.g. as home manager, deputy or in an extended department management)
• Experience in change management and organisational development to successfully implement modern care and support concepts (e.g. kinaesthetics, palliative care or specialised dementia zones)
• Experience in cooperation with authorities, cost bearers (health insurance companies), referrers and relatives
• Empathy and communication skills: A respectful approach to elderly people, their relatives and employees is paramount
• Negotiation skills and assertiveness: Clarity in leadership while being open to participative processes
• Resilience and flexibility: Ability to keep a cool head even in crisis situations (e.g. staff shortages)
• Very good German language skills (at least C1) as well as good ICT user skills (MS Office, Abacus, Heimnet) are required
