Civil servant / administrative assistant for Legal Protection within asylum centers (NE), 100%, (m/f/d)
Caritas Switzerland is committed to a fair asylum procedure for asylum seekers. Since March 1, 2019, on behalf of the State Secretariat for Migration, Caritas Switzerland's legal protection provides a free consultation and legal representation service for asylum seekers at the Federal Centers in the French-speaking region of Switzerland, in partnership with the Swiss Union of Jewish Relief Committees and the Swiss Refugee Aid Organization.
- Processing letters and emails: secure exchange and processing of various letters and emails between the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM) and Legal Protection to ensure the transmission of information
- Creation and updating of physical and virtual files: creating files and recording information and other useful correspondence for the proper management of mandates by the Legal Protection services
- Assistance in organizing interviews between asylum seekers and lawyers: entering Outlook appointments, booking interpreters and rooms necessary for conducting interviews
- Receiving material orders and organizing, managing sanitary supplies
- Other general administrative tasks upon request
- Minimum 6 months of professional experience in secretarial and organizational management tasks
- Excellent knowledge of using digital information systems and tools
- Organizational skills
- Excellent knowledge of French spoken and written (level C2) and good knowledge of English (level B2)
- Knowledge of other foreign languages, especially those of the main regions of origin of asylum seekers, is an asset
- Analytical mindset and ability to argue both orally and in writing
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Good stress management and flexibility
- Experience with people from other cultures
