Apprenticeship for Specialist in Facility Maintenance Public Works (2027 - 2030)

During your three-year training, you will work in public works at various locations such as the depot, the waste disposal site, the wastewater treatment plant, and the cemetery. Together with your team, you will ensure that the municipal infrastructure is maintained, safe, and functional.
Your tasks
In your training as a specialist in facility maintenance with a Federal VET Diploma (EFZ), you are responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of municipal infrastructure. You carry out maintenance and cleaning work on roads, squares, and green spaces, repair surface damage, and maintain the sewer system. You also take care of snow clearance in winter and the erection of signage and boards. In your work, you will also be in direct contact with the public, for example when assisting them with disposal questions. Your work requires manual dexterity, technical understanding, and physical resilience.
