You are responsible for the operational import logistics of our feed raw materials into Switzerland and ensure their timely delivery to our customers. In doing so, you coordinate goods flows from European suppliers, ensure smooth import and customs processing, and ensure an efficient and legally compliant transport process. Furthermore, you are responsible for the efficient delivery of our food ingredients from the Swiss warehouse to our customers.
Your tasks include:
- Planning, coordination and monitoring of import transports from Europe to Switzerland as well as national transports within Switzerland
- Ensuring timely, smooth and cost-optimised transport handling (land and sea freight)
- Responsibility for correct and legally compliant import and customs processing in compliance with relevant Swiss regulations and customs formalities
- Coordination of cooperation with customers, suppliers, freight forwarders, customs partners, warehouses and other logistics service providers
- Checking deliveries and transport documents as well as ensuring correct invoice processing and complete documentation
- Obtaining, evaluating and negotiating transport and logistics offers with existing and new logistics partners to ensure competitive conditions and optimal service quality
- Ensuring correct processing of all business transactions in the ERP system in close cooperation with accounting
- Contributing to the further development of processes and ensuring our quality standards in the area of transport and logistics
You bring with you:
- Completed commercial training or training in logistics, freight forwarding or transport as well as several years of experience in import logistics, transport planning or freight forwarding
- Very good understanding of Swiss customs processes and import regulations
- Ability to keep an overview and set priorities correctly even with a high volume of orders
- Structured, reliable and independent way of working
- High quality awareness as well as careful and precise work with transport, customs and import documents
- Strong communication and coordination skills in dealing with internal and external contacts
- Confident handling of ERP systems as well as common MS Office applications
- Very good knowledge of German as well as good French and English skills
