As a project manager, you will take on a key role in leading and coordinating projects in the field of cloud-based software development for our railway customers. You will lead development and customer projects in this environment and work closely with internal stakeholders as well as external partners and customers to realise innovative and market-oriented solutions.
We are looking for a committed individual for this position with a passion for innovative software projects, enjoyment of teamwork and enthusiasm for developing cloud-based software using agile project methods.
Your tasks and responsibilities
- You plan, control and monitor software development projects in the cloud environment. You ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget and according to requirements. This also includes defining project goals, task distribution, risk management and quality assurance.
- You maintain close relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as customers in the railway sector, partners or other departments within Siemens. You understand the stakeholders' requirements and ensure that the developed software solutions meet their needs. You communicate project statuses and results appropriately to the stakeholders.
- You are the interface between development, engineering and product management as well as the customers. You coordinate with these departments and the technical core team to ensure smooth project implementation.
- You work closely with our international development team to develop innovative solutions in the railway sector. You identify potential for optimising existing processes and drive the introduction of new technologies and methods.
- Talent in structuring and managing software development projects in a cloud-native environment
- Enthusiasm for technical projects and the ability to communicate complex technical contexts clearly
- In-depth practical knowledge of cloud technologies and experience in architecture and programming of cloud-based software systems in the industrial sector
- Openness to new challenges and flexible handling of changing requirements
- Expertise in railway control technology is desirable
- Completed technical studies (ETH, FH) or relevant experience
- Very good German and English skills
