About the job

We are an established civil engineering company with around 80 employees. Our area of operation is the city and agglomeration of Zurich as well as neighbouring areas. We have a powerful on-call service and are on duty around the clock for the municipal utilities of Zurich, Winterthur, Wallisellen and the municipalities of Limmattal. In building construction, we focus on conversions, renovations and refurbishments.

Construction Machine Operator for Wheeled Excavators with Character

Your tasks

• Operating wheeled and crawler excavators up to 18 tonnes
• Carrying out excavation, levelling and digging work
• Supporting road, civil engineering and utility construction work
• Creating trenches for sewers and utility lines
• Precise work in the area of existing utility lines and in confined spaces
• Safe and efficient work on different construction sites
• Daily inspection, maintenance and simple servicing of assigned machines
• Compliance with safety and quality regulations
• Active participation on the construction site beyond the machine

You are…

…a strong character who keeps an overview even in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You handle your machine confidently and precisely, work independently and take responsibility for the machine and the work. You think ahead, recognise what is needed on the construction site, and are not afraid to lend a hand beyond the machine. Good cooperation with the foreman, supervisor, site manager and the entire construction team is a matter of course for you. With your commitment and our trust, you will be given plenty of scope for initiative and independent work. You also have the opportunity to participate in our on-call teams.

Your skills

• Several years of experience as a construction machine operator in civil, road or utility construction
• Confident handling of wheeled and crawler excavators
• Experience with existing utility lines is an advantage
• Independent, precise and responsible working style
• Technical understanding and careful handling of machines
• Flexibility and willingness to perform
• Team spirit and reliability
• Good knowledge of German
• Driving licence category B
