About the job
Do you feel at home in the construction environment and want to take on a role where you can make an impact both in the office and on site? Then this position might be a great fit for you.
We are a family-oriented and well-coordinated earthworks department in a typical Swiss SME: down-to-earth, direct, and solution-focused. For us, people who think along, take responsibility, and enjoy working with others count – both in the office and out on site.
We are looking for a committed, IT-savvy individual who enjoys supporting our earthworks projects organisationally, technically, and administratively. You have an interest in modern, including AI-supported, tools and want to use them in the future to make processes simpler and more efficient. At the same time, you are the important link between management and our employees out on the construction sites.
Your tasksIn this versatile role, you support management in organising and handling our earthworks construction sites. On the one hand, you work in a structured way in the office, but on the other hand, you are regularly on site to clarify concerns directly with our employees.
Your tasks include in particular:
- Support in planning, coordinating, and monitoring earthworks projects
- Regular visits to construction sites to clarify questions, concerns, and processes
- Central link between management and employees on the construction sites
- Support in the quotation and procurement process, including tenders, change orders, as well as supplier and subcontractor offers
- Handling site administration, including project data, reports, vehicle permits, measurements, and time and material work
- Assistance with billing, invoice checks, and post-calculations of completed projects
- Maintenance of project documentation, plans, protocols, and site documents
- Monitoring construction progress, quality, deadlines, and occupational safety
- Assistance in the ongoing improvement of our processes and communication between office and site
We are not looking for a pure office person nor a classic foreman. We are looking for someone who enjoys doing both: administrative and technical work in the office as well as direct contact with our employees on site.
You are a good fit for us if you:
- Have completed training or have experience in the main construction trade, civil engineering, earthworks, landscaping, road construction, or a related field
- Ideally have experience in a comparable role – however, this is not mandatory; what matters is your interest, willingness to learn, and flair for construction processes
- Understand construction processes and have good organisational skills
- Enjoy communicating with people and resolving concerns in a solution-oriented manner
- Work independently, reliably, and in a structured way
- Are down-to-earth, resilient, and team-oriented
- Feel comfortable in the office and work confidently with computers, MS Office, and digital tools
- Hold a category B driving licence
- Have good German language skills, both spoken and written
You will take on a versatile role in a practical environment with short decision-making paths, direct exchange, and the opportunity to actively make a difference.
You can expect:
- A versatile role between office, site, and management
- Short decision-making paths and flat hierarchies in a typical Swiss SME
- An open, direct informal culture with uncomplicated exchange
- A well-coordinated, down-to-earth earthworks team
- Lots of personal responsibility and scope for design
- Modern work equipment
- Fair employment conditions
- Development opportunities depending on skills, interests, and personal ambition
- Further benefits and information can be found on our career portal: www.jobs.agir.biz
This role is particularly suitable for someone who knows construction and wants to take on more responsibility – without losing direct contact with the construction site. You are close to the employees, close to the projects, and at the same time closely involved in the organisation and decision-making processes.
With us, you can bring in your practical experience, develop further, and help implement our earthworks projects reliably and cleanly.
Interested? Then we look forward to receiving your application.
