Product Manager: Textile Mountain Sports 80-100%

You love mountain sports and have experience in textile purchasing? You want to help shape and develop our range, recognise trends early, and take responsibility for the textile mountain sports assortment? Then we are looking for you as a Product Manager at our headquarters in Nänikon.

Bächli Bergsport is the leading Swiss specialist shop for mountaineering, climbing, expeditions, hiking, ski touring and snowshoeing. In ten sales branches in the German-speaking part of Switzerland, two sales branches in the French-speaking part, and one branch in Ticino, we offer our discerning customers the best products and brands, expert advice and top-class service.

• You take responsibility for the purchasing, management and development of the textile mountain sports assortment for women and men.
• In close contact with our suppliers at home and abroad, you negotiate terms and monitor all deliveries.
• Together with your team, you are responsible for the recording and maintenance of all article data and reliably process orders.
• Through branch visits and close exchange with sales, you ensure that our range perfectly meets the needs of our customers.
• At supplier and trade fair visits as well as through targeted market analyses, you identify current trends and sales potential in the international procurement market.
• You observe developments in the textile and outdoor industry and actively contribute your insights to the assortment design.

• You have a commercial / business management basic education or are a retail specialist with appropriate further training.
• Ideally, you bring several years of purchasing experience in retail, preferably from the outdoor industry.
• You actively practise mountain sports yourself (e.g. climbing, high-altitude tours, ski touring) and can incorporate your alpine experience into your daily work.
• Thanks to your sound knowledge of the textile industry, you are well acquainted with textile technologies, materials, trends, fashion and colour selection.
• You communicate precisely, purposefully and in a partnership manner in German and English. Your negotiation skills and assertiveness distinguish you.
• You are a team-oriented personality and maintain a structured, independent working style with a strong sense of responsibility and quality awareness.
