Portrait of the School/Institution
The Mätteli Special School Home is a special education institution for children and adolescents with cognitive and multiple disabilities aged 4 to 20 years. The main task of the institution is the care, support, education, and training of these children and adolescents. The Mätteli Special School Home consists of a boarding school with six residential groups and the corresponding school classes, several day school classes, the residential and workshop school with three support teams, as well as inpatient services for children and adolescents with extraordinary care needs (KaB) and crisis interventions (KIG). The relief service includes weekends and holidays. The therapy services include occupational, physical, hippotherapy, music therapy, and speech therapy. Approximately 70 children and adolescents with special learning needs regularly attend school here. The services of the economy and administration support the core mission.

Tasks
Would you like to gain insight into working with children and adolescents with cognitive and multiple disabilities? The position is suitable as a pre-internship for training in the fields of care, special education, and social pedagogy. We also accompany a limited number of professional and training interns.
Requirements
- Interest in the holistic care of children and adolescents with intellectual and multiple disabilities
- Support of the residential group / the teacher in the care and promotion of 4-6 children / adolescents
- Support with practical and nursing activities
- Participation in company-wide events
- Participation in annual camps and project work
- Minimum age: 18 years
- Openness, teamwork, resilience, and flexibility
