Head of Accounting 80-100% (m/f/d)

Your tasks

• You are responsible for managing the accounting of all companies within the Swiss Prime Site Group in the areas of real estate, asset management, financing as well as holding and management services.
• You ensure the timely preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements according to IFRS and Swiss GAAP FER as well as a high quality of financial reporting.
• You are responsible for preparing budgets, forecasts, management reports and analyses, providing the management with sound decision-making bases.
• You act as the central contact person for the CFO, external auditors, tax authorities and other internal and external stakeholders.
• You lead a team of four employees both professionally and personally and develop it purposefully by delegating responsibility, fostering potential and shaping an open, performance-oriented team culture. You create the organisational and procedural framework conditions so that your team can work efficiently and successfully.
• In addition, you oversee the VAT group as well as all matters relating to direct taxes and prepare tax declarations and tax calculations in collaboration with internal specialists and external tax advisors.
• You actively participate in strategic projects or take on project management, for example in the areas of M&A, financing, digitalisation/AI as well as the further development of processes and systems.
• You get involved operationally, delve deeply into topics yourself and take responsibility for demanding issues.
• You continuously develop processes, systems and controlling instruments and use modern technologies to continuously increase efficiency and quality in the finance area.

Your profile

• A completed education in business administration, accounting, finance or a comparable field forms the basis for this role.
• Ideally, this is complemented by further training as a certified auditor, expert in accounting and controlling or a comparable qualification.
• Professional and leadership experience in accounting, tax, reporting and/or audit as well as a solid practical understanding in the mentioned areas distinguish you. For us, the number of years in leadership is less important than professional strength, willingness to learn and the desire to take responsibility.
• A pronounced hands-on mentality helps you to approach demanding issues pragmatically, independently and with the necessary professional depth.
• Entrepreneurial thinking, forward-looking action and a high degree of personal responsibility enable you to reliably bring topics to success.
• You have strong analytical skills and can prepare even complex matters understandably and appropriately for the target audience.
• Pragmatism and solution orientation help you to keep an overview even in a dynamic environment.
• We expect very good knowledge of Office 365, especially Excel and PowerPoint, as well as an interest in modern technologies and the use of AI in finance.
• Knowledge of Abacus, Power BI and IDL is an advantage or you are willing to quickly familiarise yourself with these systems.
