Application Engineer (m/f/d)

Your tasks
- You analyse customer components, drawings and manufacturing requirements and develop economical machining solutions.
- You create feasibility studies, machining concepts and cycle time calculations and support sales in the technical elaboration of projects.
- You plan and carry out machining trials, program CNC machines and produce sample and acceptance parts.
- You accompany machine acceptance, installations and commissioning at the customer and ensure stable production start-up.
- You train operators and programmers in a practical way and support customers with process optimisation, tool selection and application questions.
- You document solutions comprehensibly and work closely with sales, product management, service and external technology partners.
- You support demonstrations, customer days and trade fairs with your technical know-how.
Your profile
- Completed technical basic training, for example as a polymechanic, production mechanic or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of experience in CNC machining as well as good knowledge in milling and/or turning.
- Experience in CNC programming, work preparation, tool technology and optimisation of machining processes.
- Enjoyment of direct customer contact, clear communication and a solution-oriented, independent working style.
- Good German skills; French or English skills are an advantage.
- Willingness to travel within Switzerland and driving licence category B.
