Social Worker: Housing Assistance (80%)

About the job

Would you like to make a valuable contribution to the population of Winterthur? The housing coaching service of the Social Services Winterthur supports people who are threatened by or affected by homelessness. From 1 November 2026 or by arrangement, we are looking for a committed individual to accompany people on their path to a stable and independent housing situation.

Your Tasks

• Advising and supporting clients in difficult housing and life situations as well as assisting in the search for housing and securing suitable accommodation
• Organising emergency accommodation and arranging transitional housing
• Contact person for clients in transitional housing, support in finding sustainable follow-up solutions, reporting, home visits
• Clarification of social, financial and legal issues as well as networking with relevant specialist agencies
• Documentation and interdisciplinary collaboration with authorities and landlords
  
  

Your Profile

• Completed training in social work or social pedagogy (FH / HF)
• Professional experience in supporting people in complex life and crisis situations
• Good knowledge of social welfare and tenancy law
• High resilience, personal responsibility and decision-making ability
• Solution-oriented, independent and strong communication skills
