The French Section of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Lausanne is offering a position for an assistant professor in French linguistics.
Additional Information
Start date: February 1, 2026
Contract duration: 2 years, renewable once for two years. As currently planned academically, this position is not intended to be permanent.
Work rate: 80%
Workplace: Lausanne-Dorigny
Your Activities
Teaching load of 4 hours per week (BA level seminars, notably in enunciation; possibly MA level).
Individual research.
Participation in research activities, tasks, and life of the French linguistics team, the French Section, and the Faculty of Arts.
Your Profile
PhD in French linguistics or equivalent degree (thesis submitted / degree obtained at the time of starting).
Candidates are expected to have a solid background in French linguistics and literature.
Applications are sought from individuals whose initial work and postdoctoral research project propose a linguistically based approach to literary corpora (historical, comparative, computational stylistics; rhetoric and pragmatics; textual genetics; history of language, writing or discourse practices, language imaginaries, etc.).
