Desired profile
- Lawyer's licence, licentiate or master of law and sufficient practical knowledge for the exercise of the office
- Experience in the area of the Justice of the Peace according to Art. 58 JG is an advantage
- Voting rights in cantonal matters. Foreign nationals must hold a residence permit and have lived in the canton for at least five years. No loss certificates must exist against the persons. They must not have been criminally convicted for acts incompatible with the judicial office
- Proficiency in French and German. The selected person must be able to conduct hearings in both languages
