The Clinic of Obstetrics at USZ is one of the leading obstetric centres in Switzerland. It covers the entire spectrum of obstetrics including feto-maternal medicine and offers outpatient pregnancy care, high-risk pregnancy management as well as malformation diagnostics.
We offer you the opportunity to take on a senior physician role in university obstetrics. You will be responsible in daily clinical practice and actively contribute to the care of mother and child as well as to research and teaching.

Your Tasks
- Independent care of pregnant women and parturients is part of everyday life as well as dealing with complex and sensitive situations.
- You take responsibility especially in high-risk and multiple pregnancies as well as in operative deliveries.
- Close collaboration with midwives, neonatology, anaesthesia and other specialist departments is a central part of the activity.
- You make clinical decisions independently and prioritise them calmly and in a structured manner in acute settings.
- In training, you accompany assistant physicians and provide professional guidance.
- You actively contribute to the further development of processes and quality of care.
- You work with modern infrastructure in a university environment with a broad obstetric spectrum.
Your Profile
- A specialist title in gynaecology and obstetrics forms the basis for independently assuming clinical responsibility.
- You have solid experience in obstetrics, especially in dealing with complex situations.
- You hold the certificate of competence in pregnancy ultrasound.
- You make clear and responsible decisions even under time pressure.
- Team-oriented work and active shaping of collaboration are natural to you.
- Interest in university medicine as well as in research and teaching is welcome.
- Secure communication in German and English completes your profile.
- You are willing to work flexible hours and shifts.
