As part of the activities of its Telecommunications department, our client is looking for a telecom specialist capable of handling the various operational and project tasks in the communication infrastructure sector.
Main Activities:
- Manage the daily proper functioning of telecom infrastructures.
- Renew and modernise telecommunication installations in data centres, buildings, and IT premises.
- Plan radio coverage within buildings (wifi, GSM, DECT).
- Coordinate the installation of fixed equipment connected to the network (cameras, antennas, intercoms, access controls, etc.).
- Manage the shared VMS.
- Manage the access control solution for secured sites.
- Provide support to users (network and wifi extensions, etc.).
Specific Activities:
- Ensure sector on-call duty according to the established schedule (standby service).
- Handle second-level incident resolution.
- Document projects and sites.
- Master the organisation's management tools: ITSM, JIRA.
Requirements
- Degree in telecommunications (telecom engineer).
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience, including at least 2 years as a telecom specialist.
General Skills:
- More than 2 years of experience in telecommunications.
Technical Skills:
Specialist in the following areas:
- Coordination of telecom installations (physical networks, active equipment, wifi antennas, indoor GSM, DECT infrastructure, intercoms, etc.).
- Radio planning tools and wifi quality measurements.
- Operation of IT premises such as data centres, POPs or TT premises.
- Management of video surveillance systems (VMS, cameras, injectors, recording systems, etc.).
- Access control management (door controllers, badge readers, badge encryption technologies, access security, door locking systems, etc.).
- Management of anti-intrusion systems (alarm systems, sirens, intrusion detectors, etc.).
Additional Skills (an asset):
- Knowledge of technical standards and guidelines concerning telecom installations and equipment choices.
- General knowledge of Cisco network equipment.
- Skills in main network services (Ethernet, IP routing, VLAN, etc.).
- Proven experience in similar environments.
