Head of Accounting & Reporting (m/f/x)
As Head of Accounting & Reporting, you will take on a central leadership and expert role within the finance organisation of the Interhome Group. You will be responsible for the professional management of the accounting department, compliance with and further development of IFRS reporting, as well as tax coordination in the area of direct taxes.
This role is deliberately not operational-accounting. The Head of Accounting & Reporting is the professional & operational lead for the IFRS reporting package, accounting according to IFRS/local law and tax declaration. They deliver the figures and reports to the VP Finance.
Your main tasks
Professional leadership & governance
- Professional leadership of the accounting team and further development of employees
- Responsibility for the preparation, analysis and quality assurance of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements according to IFRS
- Ensuring the correct application and further development of accounting policies, including IFRS interpretation and implementation
IFRS accounting & consolidated financial statements
- Responsibility for the consolidated financial statement process including consolidation, intercompany reconciliations and reporting
- Contact person for complex IFRS issues (e.g. IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IFRS 3)
- Interface management with controlling, treasury and local finance units
- Responsibility for financial disclosure obligations and support for capital market-relevant publications of the HomeToGo Group
- Ensuring audit-proof documentation of significant accounting positions and accounting decisions
Taxes (Direct Taxes)
- Responsible coordination of direct taxes (especially corporate tax & profit taxes)
- Ensuring tax compliance in cooperation with group departments, external tax advisors and local teams
- Assessment of tax impacts of projects, restructurings and new business models
Processes & projects
- Further development and standardisation of finance processes in accounting & tax
- Support and management of projects, e.g. digitalisation, system optimisation, process harmonisation
- Active promotion and leading by example in the use of modern AI tools, automations and digital workflows in finance to increase reporting efficiency and establish a future-oriented technology culture within the team
- Participation in M&A topics from accounting and tax perspectives
External stakeholders
- Main contact person for auditors
- Management of external consultants in accounting & taxes
Your profile
Professional qualifications
- Completed studies in business administration, accounting, finance or comparable; ideally further qualifications (CPA, ACCA, auditor, MAS FH in accounting/tax, Swiss federal diploma etc.)
- Several years of professional experience in group accounting, auditing or comparable specialist leadership
- Deep understanding of IFRS accounting and consolidation
- Good knowledge in the area of direct taxes; international tax experience is an advantage
- Experience in a publicly listed company or in auditing or supporting capital market-oriented companies is a clear advantage
- Sound knowledge in corporate governance, internal control systems (ICS) and financial compliance

- Natural leadership strength and ability to professionally guide and develop a team
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills, structured working style and high quality standards
- Confident appearance, communication skills and ability to explain complex matters simply
- High initiative and enthusiasm for improving processes
- Very good German and good English skills; additional languages are an advantage.
Technical skills
- Very good Excel skills and experience with consolidation and ERP systems (e.g. SAP / S/4 Hana)
- Strong enthusiasm for the use of AI tools and process automation as well as the ability to successfully drive digital innovations in finance.
