Job Description
The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Geneva benefits from an enriching multicultural dynamic to which it contributes through its influence within the mandates it has set itself: teaching, research and its partnership with the Geneva University Hospitals (HUG).
The Quality of Care Service provides training to medical students and health professionals (postgraduate) through a number of teaching arrangements, notably the CAS/DAS quality-safety programme.
To strengthen its team, the Quality of Care Service (SQS) is looking for a:
Scientific Assistant 1 at 20%
The post holder will have as their main mission the responsibility for coordinating the educational reform of the CAS/DAS quality-safety Continuing Education programme, including, under the direct supervision of the head of the Quality of Care Service, the following tasks:
Educational coordination of the new programme, collaboration in the development of content, programming and implementation of all new educational activities
Programme development in agreement with the two co-directors;
Reflection and preparation of new teaching methods;
Work with the existing trainer teams;
Organisation, management and facilitation of working sessions;
Co-construction of new arrangements with students (new/old);
Broad consultation of programme partners;
Coordination of communication between participants, professors and programme management;
Planning and leading course restructuring sessions including distance learning;
Organisational management and dissemination of strategic directions agreed during sessions related to the development of the new programme with internal partners;
Minute taking, drafting and distribution of reports and documents related to the new programme;
Updating and submission of communication plans and strategies to the co-directors;
External communication and marketing;
Creation, development and updating of the brochure and advertising material;
Preparation of various information sessions (internal and public);
Conceptualisation of announcements, flyers and invitations (advertising) in collaboration with the University of Geneva services and external partners;
Participation in the development and promotion of the CAS/DAS quality-safety diploma obtained with Swiss companies and institutions.
Required Title and Skills
Bachelor in science, Master’s degree an asset;
Diploma in pedagogy or equivalent training;
Project management training;
Interest in teaching in the field of quality.
