About the job
At the Allschwil Leisure Center, you take on tasks in the care and leisure activities of children. You work in a lively, socio-cultural environment with plenty of room for your own ideas.
Allschwil is one of the largest municipalities in Northwestern Switzerland and is an innovative suburb of Basel. The proximity to this city shapes Allschwil's character without the municipality losing its political and mental independence.
As of February 1, 2026, the Allschwil Leisure Center offers a position
with a focus on the care and leisure activities of young people. If interested, the workload can be supplemented by assignments as a substitute.
The Allschwil Leisure Center operates according to a socio-cultural concept and offers open programs for parents with toddlers, children, and youth. Other areas of activity include events, courses and educational offerings, room and equipment rentals, as well as a bistro and catering. You will find an exciting field of activity with great creative freedom and a lot of responsibility in child and youth promotion.
Your tasks
• Responsible for the operation or managing individual opening hours in the youth center
• Accompanying the youth and supporting the implementation of their concerns and ideas
• Assisting in the organization and execution of events, holiday programs, and projects with and for youth as well as other target groups of the leisure center
• Assisting with administrative tasks, room rentals, and maintenance of infrastructure
• Guiding and accompanying students and civil service workers
You usually take on 1 to 3 shifts/opening hours from Friday to Sunday. Working hours are planned monthly, taking into account the program and personal preferences.
Your profile
• Training in socio-cultural animation FH/HF or an equivalent qualification
• Experience in open work with youth and participation processes
• High communication and social skills, assertiveness, and resilience
• Sense of responsibility, humor, openness, spontaneity, and flexibility
• Good German skills and solid IT user knowledge (MS Office)
• Driver's license (B) and multilingualism are an advantage
