Ensuring electricity in Switzerland
In this forward-looking role, you support and are responsible for the development of innovation, research, and digitalisation topics. You take on the following tasks:
- Supporting R&D colleagues in the implementation of innovation projects in the field of energy systems, e.g., in the development of prototypes
- Active exchange with internal and external stakeholders
- Identifying potential for innovations
- Initiating new innovation projects
- Promoting the development and implementation of innovative projects together with experts from the specialist departments
- Supporting measures to promote the innovation culture
- Assisting in creating a dynamic and collaborative environment in which innovative actions are encouraged in the daily work of Swissgrid employees
This is how you make a difference
For this position, we are looking for a person with a pronounced solution orientation and pragmatism, who has initiative and pioneering spirit. You are characterized by excellent analytical skills and implementation strength and can explain complex issues clearly. In addition, you bring the following:
- Recently completed or soon-to-be-completed studies in electrical engineering (focus on power systems) or energy economics
- Technical expertise and affinity for developing data-driven applications – from the idea to the pilot to the rolled-out application in asset management or system operation
- Openness to interdisciplinary collaboration in the areas of asset management (e.g., drones, robotics) and system operation (e.g., decision support tools, mathematical optimization, AI)
- Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written
