Your main tasks

• Planning, implementation, and operation of virtual infrastructures based on VMware vSphere, OLVM (Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager), and other hypervisor technologies
• Responsibility for backup and recovery solutions with Veeam Backup & Replication
• Monitoring and optimizing system performance, availability, and capacity
• Error analysis and resolution at second and third level
• Participation in projects around virtualization, NetApp StorageGRID, backup, and cloud integration
• Documentation of system landscapes and configurations
• Design, installation, and maintenance of storage systems on-premises, ORIA cloud

Your strengths and knowledge

• Several years of professional experience in system engineering, ideally in virtualization, storage, and backup
• Solid knowledge of VMware, Hyper-V, OLVM, and common hypervisor environments
• Very good knowledge of Veeam Backup & Replication, VMCE or VMCA is an advantage
• NetApp Storages ONTAP, StorageGRID
• Huawei storage know-how is a plus
• Understanding of IT infrastructure, networks, and security
• Experience in direct customer contact and on-site installations
• Knowledge of ticketing systems and monitoring tools
• Willingness for continuous training and certification
• Very good German skills, good English skills in spoken and written form
• Independent, structured, and reliable working style with joy in teamwork
