Get to know the world of communication in politics and authorities and experience the diversity of the City of St.Gallen. Whether schools, city greenery, or tax office: here you gain communication experience in a thematically diverse field. From press releases to TikTok, you will learn in your work in the newsroom how to find the right tone on all our channels. The internship lasts 6 months and starts at the beginning of August.

The internship is aimed at students or people currently undergoing further training in the field of communication. In exchange with the internship position of the St.Gallen city police, you will also gain insight into event communication of an emergency service organization.

Contents and learning areas

• In-depth insight into political communication
• Work in the newsroom: creating contributions for intranet, staff magazine, and social media in text, image, and video
• Moderation of social media, managing Stadtmelder and website
• Insight into larger internal and external communication projects and initiatives
• Creating communication concepts
