Dementia Counselling

From 1 January 2027 or by arrangement, we are looking for a committed individual for dementia counselling with a workload of 20%. The position is limited until 31 December 2027.

The specialised centre .dementiaSH of the Canton of Schaffhausen is a contact point for people with dementia and their relatives. It offers competent advice, well-founded information and individual support for all questions and challenges related to dementia. The aim is to promote the self-determination of people with dementia and to enable them to live in their familiar environment for as long as possible.

What to expect

• You accompany people with dementia as well as their relatives in the outpatient sector.
• You work with various specialised centres and professional groups and actively contribute to interdisciplinary collaboration.
• You organise your work independently and bring in your own initiatives and creative working methods.

What you bring to us

• You have a qualification as a registered nurse HF or an equivalent qualification in the psychosocial field.
• You have completed a specialist further education in the field of dementia.
• You have several years of professional experience in supporting people with dementia.
• You are characterised by high empathy and strong communication skills.
• You work independently and in a structured manner and have good PC user skills.
• You are willing to be mobile for outreach counselling.
