Participates in the management and development of the environmental and occupational safety management system at the Mex site according to ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 standard
Conducts risk analyses, accident investigations, and safety and environmental training
Supervises the safety – environment team
Reports directly to the EHS Manager
Prevention of occupational accidents
- Conduct risk analyses and accident investigations in the company for certain given sectors
- Ensure the realization and follow-up of risk analyses, accident analyses, and the corrective measures resulting from them
- Monitor the realization, by the Safety/Environment team, of risk analyses, accident investigations, and the follow-up of the resulting actions
- Provide training to managers and new employees on site
- Support safety engineers in projects for acquiring new installations or equipment
- Participate in mandatory continuing education according to the federal ordinance on the qualifications of safety specialists at work (OQual)
Management of ISO 45001/14001 certification systems
Drafts/updates the ISO 45001/14001 directives
- Proposes the planning of the external audit with the EHS manager
- Participates in the realization of the ISO management review in collaboration with the health service manager and the EHS manager
Environmental protection
- Develop the corporate mobility plan
- Define the waste management process
- Monitor environmental initiatives at the Mex site
Management
- Manages a team of Engineers and STPS Specialists and monitors their performance and ensures their development
- Establish and disseminate safety and environmental KPIs
- Propose communication regarding the prevention of occupational and non-occupational accidents
- Validate directives and job descriptions regarding the prevention of occupational and non-occupational accidents and the environment
- Propose investment and expense budgets in terms of accident prevention and environmental protection
Your profile:
- Degree in a technical field (mechanical, electrical, automation) or equivalent title
- Ideally:
- CFST safety officer or Federal CFST certificate
- CFST safety engineer
- Specialization in environmental matters
- 5 years as a safety officer/engineer in an industrial environment (ideally mechanical)
- Mastery of ISO 45001 standard
- Mastery of ISO 14001 standard
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Fluent in French, written and spoken
- Good knowledge of English
