Would you like to contribute your expertise in geriatric psychiatry within a committed and interdisciplinary team? For our specialised department of geriatric psychiatry, we are seeking by arrangement a Senior Consultant (80–100%).

In this responsible position, you have the opportunity to actively shape the psychiatric care of older people, further develop innovative treatment concepts, and lead a multiprofessional team.

Your tasks

• Senior medical management of a geriatric psychiatric ward focusing on dementia/delirium disorders and related neuropsychiatric conditions
• Close interdisciplinary collaboration with the Centre for Geriatric Medicine
• Training and supervision of junior doctors and psychologists
• Commitment to internal and external continuing education
• Participation in the consultation and liaison services within the hospital
• Cooperation and networking with referrers and institutions

Your profile

• Completed or advanced training as a specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy
• Specialisation in geriatric psychiatry and psychotherapy is an advantage
• Very good German language skills, spoken and written (at least level C1)
• Independent, committed, flexible and team-oriented personality with a sense of humour
• Enjoyment of interprofessional and interdisciplinary collaboration as well as shaping and further developing treatment and therapy offerings
• Committed cooperation within the psychiatric-psychotherapeutic team with openness to various therapeutic approaches
• Evidence-based working methods
