The Hospital Network AR
The Hospital Network Appenzell Ausserrhoden with the acute hospital Herisau and the Psychiatric Centre AR in Herisau ensures extended basic medical care for the population in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden and is also the first point of contact for a large part of the population in the surrounding region. Both locations are relevant for care within the canton and beyond.
We are looking for
In the MTTB department under the direction of Ms Jana Schmid, Ms Arlinda Dawson is looking for a qualified nurse interested in the NDS HF Anaesthesia Care training for the year 2027, with a workload of 80-100% for a training period of two years at 100%.
Your tasks
- Competent preparation and execution of all measures in consultation with and under the responsibility of an anaesthetist to conduct a safe and correct anaesthesia
- Assistance with patient positioning in the operating theatre
- Implementation and adherence to all hygiene measures
- Carrying out all measures to ensure smooth anaesthesia operations in the day and emergency programme – including logistics and material preparation
- Competent execution of life-saving immediate measures
- Correct, clear handover report to the subsequent care professionals
- Independently acquiring the necessary specialist knowledge
- Forwarding and obtaining all relevant information to ensure smooth operating theatre operations
- Co-responsible for economic thinking and action (including personnel and material planning)
- Promoting constructive communication inside and outside the operating theatre area
- Correct, complete and legible documentation of all activities according to internal and legal requirements to ensure efficient operations.
- Active commitment to a good working atmosphere by promoting mutual understanding and appreciation and providing support when needed
Your profile
- Successful basic training as a qualified nurse HF/FH, as a qualified male nurse HF/FH or as a health and nursing professional
- For further training, at least 6 months of professional experience is a mandatory prerequisite
- You are an outgoing and team-oriented personality with high flexibility and resilience
- Interest in the field of anaesthesia and enthusiasm to further educate yourself in this area
