For our headquarters in Winterthur, we are looking for an experienced technical leader who, together with their team, ensures the operational building operation and the technical availability of our systems. The role combines leadership with operational technology: You lead your team, take on technical responsibility and get hands-on yourself in case of malfunctions, critical systems, commissioning and optimisations.

Your typical day
- Leadership & Organisation: You lead the areas of operational maintenance, infrastructure facility management and cleaning and are responsible for resource and deployment planning. In addition, you coordinate and manage external service providers and ensure the quality of the services provided
- Electrical engineering & hands-on: You analyse and rectify electrical faults and, within the scope of your electrical engineering qualification, carry out work on our electrical systems and building infrastructure yourself. You assess electrical requirements and measurements and actively support critical systems, emergency events as well as energy supply and network quality issues
- Building automation: You analyse and parameterise technical systems and BMS systems, optimise control strategies, process alarm messages and define or monitor automation interfaces. During commissioning, you contribute your technical expertise and act as an interface to ICT
- Technical building operation: You ensure the high availability of our technical infrastructure and monitor, among other things, HVAC, electrical and cooling supply, compressed air as well as the technical infrastructure of our clean rooms and laboratories. In case of malfunctions, you conduct root cause analyses and initiate sustainable technical optimisations
- Maintenance & investments: You define maintenance measures, assess system weaknesses and prioritise necessary replacement investments. Critical maintenance measures are technically assessed and approved by you
- Operator responsibility & compliance: You ensure compliance with our operator obligations and technical compliance, check legally required evidence and accompany audits. In addition, you take on the role of fire safety officer (SiBe)
- Smart Factory: You prepare the operational technical takeover of our new Smart Factory, accompany the building acceptance from the perspective of later building operation and ensure that all technical information and documentation relevant for operation and maintenance are fully handed over.
- Future-proof location: You combine maximum system availability and ensuring production capability with economical building operation and continuously develop our technical infrastructure with a view to Kistler’s future requirements
Your profile
- Electrical engineering qualification - mandatory requirement: You are a qualified electrical specialist according to NIV with completed electrical engineering training and authorised to carry out electrical work on systems and building infrastructure.
- Professional experience: You have several years of professional experience in technical building management and possess sound knowledge of technical building infrastructure and systems.
- Leadership experience: You have already successfully led employees and/or technical teams and know how to plan resources, clearly manage responsibilities and further develop your team professionally
- Hands-on mentality: Despite your leadership responsibility, you stay close to the technology. In case of electrical faults, critical systems, commissioning or technical problems, you not only analyse but also get involved yourself if necessary
- Building technology & automation: You have a good technical understanding of building automation and BMS as well as ideally HVAC, cooling supply, compressed air and other technical building systems
- Safety & quality awareness: Operator obligations, occupational safety, technical compliance and high system availability are of great importance to you
- Personality: You work in a structured, solution-oriented and responsible manner, take responsibility and keep a cool head even in case of technical faults or emergencies
- Interface competence: You move confidently between technology, production, management, ICT and external partners and can communicate technical matters appropriately to the audience
- Languages: Very good German skills in spoken and written form are required
