About the job
The EFAJE is a network that brings together 31 municipalities from the Gros-de-Vaud district and surrounding areas wishing to unite their efforts to manage and develop quality day care services in order to better meet the needs of their citizens. To date, three sectors are represented: Family Day Care, which includes around sixty family-based carers, nine preschool structures, and nineteen after-school structures. We are looking, for an indefinite period, for a:
Childcare Educator or Socio-Educational Assistant at 68.5%
The position is located at the Garderie Arc-en-ciel in Cugy, a facility with a capacity of 44 places.
The position is to be filled in the group of older children and the working time is spread over 4 days/week.
Your missions:
- Ensure quality support for the children cared for, guaranteeing their well-being and safety in accordance with the institutional project and current regulations.
- Identify quality-related issues based on your theoretical knowledge. Propose courses of action and implement them in the child’s best interest.
- Foster a quality relationship and exchanges with families and external services.
Your profile:
You have experience in early childhood and demonstrate kindness, empathy, and attentiveness towards children.
Dynamic, flexible, and possessing a good team spirit, you communicate with ease and diplomacy.
Calm and proactive by nature, you know how to adapt to situations, reflect on your practices, and actively contribute to the quality of care and the smooth running of the team.
Holder of a tertiary ES/HES diploma or equivalent, or a secondary diploma (CFC), you have Swiss nationality or a valid residence permit, as well as a clean criminal record.
