The AR Hospital Network
The Appenzell Ausserrhoden Hospital Network, with the Herisau Acute Hospital and the AR Psychiatric Centre in Herisau, ensures extended basic medical care for the population in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden and is also the first point of contact for a large part of the population in the surrounding region. Both locations are relevant for care within the canton and beyond.
We are looking for
The Herisau Hospital in Eastern Switzerland is part of the Appenzell Ausserrhoden Hospital Network (SVAR) and has a Department of Internal Medicine, a Department of Surgery, a Women’s Clinic, and a Clinic for Anaesthesiology and Emergency Medicine. The Department of Internal Medicine also includes the Acute Geriatrics Unit.
In the Department of Internal Medicine under the leadership of Dr Simon Ritter, we are seeking from 1 July 2026 or by arrangement a Senior Physician or Consultant in Geriatrics with a workload of 50–100%.
