A 50% technician position is open at the Thônex Community Centre.

Job Description

• Assist the animation team by independently performing various maintenance tasks related to the centre's lighting equipment: preparation, setup and maintenance of the equipment.
• Organise and keep up to date the inventory and usage schedule of the equipment.
• Take initiatives and responsibilities, while following directives related to various events.
• Interest in local cultural life and the development of associative life.
• Ensure follow-up of technical work carried out by other providers.
• Organise the preparation and setup of rooms.
• Take charge of checking, tidying, maintenance and routine repairs of the furniture and equipment of the venue.
• Provide technical information and training to the venue's collaborators and anyone authorised to use its equipment.
• Organise the maintenance and follow-up of vehicle servicing.
• Apply current safety standards: the technician must notably use the appropriate safety equipment provided by the venue.
• Carry out various tasks, errands, transport, handling and administrative/office work related to the role.
• Manage a budget and/or petty cash depending on the projects.
• Participate in the structure's projects.

Qualifications

• A Federal VET Diploma (CFC) or equivalent training relevant to the role.
• Ability to work independently in collaboration with the animation team.
• Ease of contact with various partners and the public.
• Organisational and planning skills, while managing priorities and emergencies.
• Ability to use common computer software and to write simple memos.

Additional Information

• Flexibility in working hours, depending on needs and activity programme (evening and weekend activities).
• Salary according to the Geneva State pay scale, maximum class 10.
• Start date: 1 April 2027.
