The team of Prof. Dr. Sven Reinecke currently consists of eight employees. In addition to research and teaching, the team coordinates offerings within the overall institute in executive education, the excellence program "Best Practice in Marketing," as well as the marketing journal Marketing Review St. Gallen. The advertised position is linked with the opportunity to pursue a doctorate at the University of St. Gallen (HSG) under Prof. Dr. Sven Reinecke.

Your tasks
Your area of responsibility includes collaboration in various application-oriented research projects, especially within the framework of the "Best Practice in Marketing" excellence program (current partners: B. Braun, Bühler, Clariant, Hansgrohe, Geberit, John Deere, Sika, and UBS). Furthermore, you support the supervision of students at HSG and contribute to the publication of relevant research results in international scientific journals.
As one of the leading marketing research institutes, the IMC generates novel insights in the fields of marketing, communication, and sales. This knowledge is conveyed to students, executives, companies, and the wider society through innovative formats. The research and application focuses in Prof. Reinecke's team are particularly in the areas of strategic marketing management, marketing controlling & marketing analytics/AI, brand management & live communication, as well as price management.
Your profile
- Very well completed university degree (Master) in business administration, economics, or industrial engineering (grade 5.0 or better according to the Swiss grading system, or grade 2.0 or better according to the German grading system)
- Solid knowledge in marketing or strategic management and ideally some professional experience
- Interest in scientific and practice-relevant issues and initial experience in applying quantitative (surveys, experiments) and/or qualitative research methods
- Enjoyment in taking responsibility, organizational talent, as well as a high degree of initiative and flexibility
- Very good language skills in German and English
