About the job

The Waste Disposal Department of the Civil Engineering Office ensures a clean city and sustainable waste management daily. For our motivated team, we are looking for a committed individual who likes to get stuck in and takes responsibility both as a loader and as a driver. The focus of the activity is on operational deployment on the collection routes.

Your Tasks

Assisting with the collection of refuse, green waste, paper and cardboard (approx. 60%)

Safe and efficient loading of the waste disposal vehicles

Driving waste disposal vehicles on various collection routes (approx. 40%)

Regular rotation of collection routes to ensure smooth operations

Compliance with safety, quality and environmental regulations

Your Profile

Enjoyment of physical work and outdoor assignments

Reliable, responsible and team-oriented working style

Driving licence Cat. C or willingness to obtain it with support from the City of Winterthur

Experience in waste logistics, transport or a comparable activity is an advantage

Good German language skills in speaking and writing, as well as understanding of Swiss German
