- The service's mission is to ensure coordinated and sustainable territorial development. Its action aims both to protect the natural foundations of life and to create a harmonious built environment favourable to housing, social life, and economic activities. To this end, it establishes the cantonal master plan, verifies the conformity of municipal plans with planning regulations, and coordinates building permit procedures. It advises both public authorities and private stakeholders.
As part of processing building permits and establishing detailed plans, you ensure the accessibility of buildings and facilities for persons living with physical and/or sensory disabilities (PLWD). In this capacity, you verify the compliance of files, notably with the SIA 500 standard.
While participating in building control activities, you carry out site compliance inspections.
You also provide information to project owners and architects on the implementation of universal accessibility standards.
As part of an awareness-raising approach, you organise information sessions to promote requirements and best practices regarding accessibility of buildings for the persons concerned (PLWD).
Finally, you provide technical assistance to municipalities as well as to State services responsible for housing, health, and adult support and accommodation.
Holder of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture, or a qualification deemed equivalent, you have more than 5 years’ experience in the realisation of construction projects.
You possess proven skills in housing and barrier-free construction and are comfortable with the building permit processing procedure.
Able to work both independently and as part of a team, you have a strong sense of interpersonal relations and institutional communication.
Finally, you are aware of the issues related to health and disability and understand the main challenges.
