About the job
The Centre for Children with Sensory and Physical Impairments ZKSK is an interdisciplinary centre of expertise for children and adolescents with physical, sensory, and multiple impairments. At four locations, we offer educational support, individual medical and pedagogical therapy services, as well as residential options. Through psychological and medical assessments and therapies, we support, advise, and accompany children and families.
From 1 January 2027 or by arrangement, we are seeking a committed Therapeutic Pedagogical Assistant with experience in the autism spectrum in Oensingen, 25% workload, Monday and Thursday mornings.
The Therapeutic Pedagogical Early Education team at the Oensingen location offers various group programmes. You will assist in their implementation:
- Interaction Group (Monday and Thursday mornings from 8:45 to 11:15 am, plus preparation and follow-up time): The children aged 2 to 5 years show peculiarities in communication and interaction. Accordingly, knowledge in the area of the autism spectrum and a calm head in challenging situations are required.
- Therapeutic Pedagogical Early Education Playgroup (Monday afternoon 1:30 to 3:30 pm, plus preparation and follow-up time): The five to six children aged 3 to 5 years have varying special educational support needs and are gaining their first group experiences.
Your tasks
- You assist in planning, designing, and conducting the support sessions
- You welcome the children and parents, see them off, and provide feedback. The lead in parental work in the classical sense lies with the Therapeutic Pedagogical Early Educator
- Supporting with toilet visits, nappy changing, and snacks is a matter of course for you
Your qualifications
- Vocational qualification as a FaBe, playgroup leader, or diploma in social, special or therapeutic pedagogy, in early childhood education, or training in these fields
- Interest in the experiences of children who perceive many aspects of the world differently from yourself and who have an impairment or developmental delay
- High empathy and the ability to put yourself in the situation of the children and parents
- Willingness to acquire knowledge about the autism spectrum, associated therapeutic approaches, and other special educational topics
- A good grasp that enables you to apply insights from theory and tips from the Therapeutic Pedagogical Early Educator in practice
- You bring experience in group support or care in childhood
- Team spirit, reflectiveness, and reliability
