The Zurich Cantonal Bank has a high-quality collection of Zurich contemporary art, which is continuously managed according to the art concept of the Zurich Cantonal Bank. Whether painting, drawing or printmaking, photography, video art, sculpture or art in architecture: the works are placed throughout the canton in the bank's premises. All artists, whether internationally renowned or emerging with promising first exhibitions, have a connection to the cultural and economic area of Zurich. Your tasks
- Art storage and inventory: You are co-responsible for the proper inventory, data maintenance, and storage of the works as well as for the maintenance of the collection and the optimization of the database
- Collection documentation: Your tasks include proper documentation and writing texts about individual works
- Placement of art: You advise and support employees in selecting artworks for their offices
- Art logistics: You organize and supervise transports and installations
- Project management: You are responsible for the project "Cards for Art"
- You take on administrative and organizational tasks
Your profile
- University degree M.A. in Art History / Art Studies with additional qualification in archiving / documentation
- Several years of professional experience in registrar work in a museum or a comparable institution
- Solid knowledge of contemporary art, especially Swiss and Zurich contemporary art
- Enjoyment in implementing and accompanying projects and experience in project management
- Very good application skills in Microsoft Office and the database software MuseumPlus
- Independent, proactive, precise and structured working style and willingness to also actively help physically
- High communication skills and very good oral and written expression in German and enjoyment in writing texts; foreign languages are an advantage
- You are proactive, enjoy working on-site in a small team, and have good interpersonal skills
